Hegasaer’s book 2 May 2013

The story of hegasaer’s quest to Orkney in 2012 is now available in book form to coincide with a presentation at the Women’s History Scotland annual conference (taking place in Kirkwall on 3 and 4 May 2013). Click on RePlace Orkney 2012 for the story so far.

Hegasaer is sure there will be more to tell as time goes on, and welcomes any news about sightings of the installations – and of the yarnwives who have gone wandering. She does not know the fate of the Hoy yarnwife or her sister from Brodgar. And she is anxious about the Birsay yarnwife who went wandering last year, and who is missing again from her Birsay home.

If you have come across the wifies or their charges, please post the news to this blog.
